Buyer questions
Eight questions buyers ask about the Airstream Basecamp Xe 20Xe, answered from the RVs listed on US RV Connection right now.
Right now US RV Connection has no used examples listed. All three Basecamp Xe 20Xe units on the site are new 2026 travel trailers, with asking prices from $72,995 to $88,250 and a median asking price of $88,250. Those are asking prices, not what anyone paid. If you want a used price point for comparison, the related Basecamp 20X listings run $39,900 to $74,450 across model years 2021 to 2026.
Just one model year at the moment: 2026. All three listed Basecamp Xe 20Xe trailers are new 2026 units, so there is no older-year inventory to compare against on the site today. If you need an earlier build, the sibling Basecamp 20X is listed in years 2021 through 2026, which is the closest thing to a year range within the Basecamp family here.
All three listings are the single 20Xe floorplan, so there is no layout choice to make here. The dealer descriptions call out a front U-shaped convertible dinette, a wet bath, a single-burner induction cooktop and built-in floor storage, plus bench seating. The dinette converts, which is how the sleeping space works. An all-electric refrigerator is standard and a microwave is noted as optional.
Nothing used is listed here, only new 2026 units, so most of this applies if you shop elsewhere. On any Basecamp-style riveted aluminum trailer, look closely at seam and window sealant, the rear hatch seal, and the floor around the wet bath for soft spots or water staining. Test the induction cooktop and the all-electric refrigerator, since this layout leans on electric appliances, and confirm the convertible dinette hardware and the tires and bearings.
Per the dealer descriptions, the 20Xe has a front U-shaped convertible dinette with bench seating, a wet bath, built-in floor storage, a single-burner induction cooktop and an all-electric refrigerator. A microwave is listed as an option rather than standard. All three listings on US RV Connection show photos. Beyond those items the descriptions do not spell out additional equipment, so confirm anything else directly with the seller.
The listed layout points that way. It is a single floorplan with a front U-shaped convertible dinette that doubles as the sleeping space, bench seating, one wet bath and a single-burner induction cooktop, which suits two people traveling light far better than a family. The listings do not state weights, lengths or sleeping capacity, so check those on the unit itself before you plan around it.
All three Basecamp Xe 20Xe listings on US RV Connection are in one place: Buda, Texas. Each is a new 2026 travel trailer and each has photos. There is no inventory of this model in other cities at the moment. If you are shopping outside Texas, the related Basecamp 20X has eight listings, which gives you a wider pool to look through.
On price and selection, the Basecamp 20X is the broader option: eight listings, $39,900 to $74,450, median $67,835, spanning 2021 to 2026, so it is the only way to get an older or cheaper Basecamp here. The Bambi 22FB has five listings from $51,645 to $88,600, median $79,531, years 2022 to 2027. The 20Xe itself is new-only 2026 at $72,995 to $88,250. The listings do not describe feature differences between these models.
Answers are written from approved, priced listings on US RV Connection— asking prices, not sale prices — and from what the dealers' own descriptions say. Figures in the strip above are live; the answers refresh as inventory changes.
