Buyer questions
Eight questions buyers ask about the Airstream Bambi 22FB, answered from the RVs listed on US RV Connection right now.
Right now US RV Connection shows 5 approved, priced Bambi 22FB listings with asking prices from $51,645 to $88,600, and a median asking price of $79,531. Those are asking prices, not what anyone actually paid. The spread covers both used and new units, so the lower end generally reflects an earlier used trailer while the upper end is current model year stock.
The current listings span model years 2022 through 2027. That includes used examples described as a Used 2022 Airstream Bambi 22FB, several new 2026 units, and at least one new 2027. With only five priced listings on the site at the moment, not every year in that range is represented, so expect a mix weighted toward recent model years rather than a deep used selection.
The 22FB is a single floorplan, and the listings describe it consistently: a front private bedroom with a 54-inch by 80-inch bed, a convertible midship dinette described elsewhere as a U-shaped dinette, a full kitchen, and a wide rear bathroom that spans the entire back of the trailer. Dealers list it at 21 feet 11 inches long on a single axle. All five listings are travel trailers.
With years here running 2022 to 2027, the used end is the 2022. On any aluminum travel trailer, check the body seams, roof and window seals for leaks, and look for soft spots or staining around the rear bath, which spans the full rear. Test the two-burner LP cooktop, the 12V refrigerator and the manual ZipDee awning the descriptions mention. Confirm tires, bearings and brakes on the single axle, and get documentation of weights and capacities.
Features named in the listings include a two-burner LP gas cooktop, a manual ZipDee patio awning, a U-shaped or convertible midship dinette, a storage closet, a front private bedroom with a 54-inch by 80-inch bed, a 4.1 cubic foot 12V refrigerator, and a wide rear bathroom with a shower seat and a window that opens. The trailer is a single-axle design at 21 feet 11 inches long.
The listed layout suits two people well. There is one sleeping area, a front private bedroom with a 54-inch by 80-inch bed, plus a convertible midship dinette and a full-width rear bath with a shower seat. Dealers quote a 3,850 to 3,900 pound base weight, 5,000 pound GVWR, roughly 1,100 to 1,150 pounds of carrying capacity and a 525 pound hitch weight. Nothing in these listings addresses full-time living.
The five priced Bambi 22FB listings on US RV Connection are spread across three cities: two in Buda, Texas, two in Ramsey, Minnesota, and one in Tucson, Arizona. All five have photos. Since the inventory is small and concentrated in those three markets, buyers outside Texas, Minnesota or Arizona should expect to travel or arrange delivery to see one in person.
By current listings, the Basecamp 20X is the cheaper entry point with 8 units from $39,900 to $74,450, median $67,835, years 2021 to 2026. The World Traveler 22RB sits close to the Bambi on price, 5 units from $73,564 to $80,350, median $79,450, all 2026 to 2027. The Bambi 22FB spans $51,645 to $88,600, median $79,531, years 2022 to 2027. Beyond price and year, the listings do not give a feature-by-feature comparison.
Answers are written from approved, priced listings on US RV Connection— asking prices, not sale prices — and from what the dealers' own descriptions say. Figures in the strip above are live; the answers refresh as inventory changes.
