Buyer questions
Eight questions buyers ask about the Airstream Basecamp 20X, answered from the RVs listed on US RV Connection right now.
Across the 8 priced Basecamp 20X travel trailers on US RV Connection right now, asking prices run from $39,900 to $74,450, with a median asking price of $67,835. Keep in mind those are asking prices, not what anyone actually paid. The spread is wide because the group mixes older units with new 2026 builds, so compare year, condition and included equipment before reading much into any single number.
The current listings span model years 2021 through 2026, across 8 approved priced travel trailers, all with photos. Most of the dealer descriptions we show are for new 2026 units, which are the ones carrying the detailed highlight lists. Older years in the range will usually be the lower asking prices, so if you want a specific year, check the individual listing rather than assuming from price alone.
Every 20X on the site is the same single floorplan, described as a single-axle travel trailer about 20 feet 2 inches long. The layout has a front U-shaped dinette with bench seating and removable tables, rear benches that convert for sleeping, a wet bath and dual entry. The rear benches give split sleeping or a half-bed on one side, plus a full bed spanning the back at roughly 82 by 78 inches, with storage under the cushions.
With model years from 2021 to 2026 in the mix, the older ones deserve the most attention. Check the aluminum shell seams, windows and both entry doors for water intrusion, since dual entry means two more places to leak. Test the wet bath for soft flooring and working drains, cycle the dinette and rear bench conversions, inspect the single axle, tires and brakes, and verify all 12-volt systems and tanks before you commit.
From the dealer descriptions on the site, the 20X highlights are U-shaped dinette bench seating, removable tables, a wet bath and dual entry. Rear benches convert to split sleeping or an 82 by 78 inch rear sleeping area, with storage under the cushions. Listings also note the single-axle build at 20 feet 2 inches long, a 3,500-pound base weight, 4,300-pound GVWR, 800-pound net carrying capacity and 535-pound hitch weight. Other equipment varies by unit.
The listed layout suits two people well. There is one floorplan: a front U-shaped dinette with removable tables, rear benches that make either split beds or a full 82 by 78 inch sleeping area across the back, a wet bath and two doors. Storage sits under the cushions. Descriptions call it flexible enough to sleep more using both the dinette and benches, but at 20 feet 2 inches, a couple gets the most comfortable use of it.
All 8 priced Basecamp 20X listings on US RV Connection are travel trailers, and they cluster in three cities: Buda, Texas has four, Ramsey, Minnesota has three, and Tucson, Arizona has one.
