Buyer questions
Eight questions buyers ask about the Forest River Sabre 36EST, answered from the RVs listed on US RV Connection right now.
Right now US RV Connection shows four approved, priced Sabre 36EST listings, all of them 2027 model year fifth wheels, so these are new rather than used units. Asking prices run from $66,149 to $67,895, with a median of $66,938. That is a tight spread of under $2,000 across the four. All four have photos. Remember these are asking prices, not what anyone actually paid.
Every Sabre 36EST currently listed on US RV Connection is a 2027 model. All four units share that year, so there is no older inventory to compare against at the moment. If you are hoping to find an earlier model year, there simply is not one on the site today. The four 2027s are asking $66,149 to $67,895, median $66,938, and each listing includes photos.
The 36EST is one floorplan, and the listings describe it consistently: a rear kitchen, bath and a half, camper king bed, and a sectional sofa in the living area. One listing states 41 ft 3 in, sleeps 4, with three slides. The rear kitchen is described with overhead cabinets, ample countertop, three-burner cooktop, microwave, oversized refrigerator and a pantry. All four listed units are fifth wheels.
These are all 2027 units, so you are mostly checking build quality rather than wear. On a fifth wheel this size, look over the roof and all seams, the slide seals on all three slides, and that both power awnings extend and retract smoothly. Test the fireplace, the three-burner cooktop, microwave and refrigerator, and run water to both the full bath and the half bath. Confirm any listed packages, like the solar, are actually installed.
Across the listings, the recurring highlights are a rear kitchen, two power awnings, a fireplace, a camper king bed and a bath and a half. The kitchen is described with overhead cabinets, ample countertop, a three-burner cooktop, microwave, oversized refrigerator and pantry, and the living area has a sectional sofa. One unit adds a Convenience Package, Bistro Kitchen Package, Ultimate Comfort Package and a Juice Pack with 200W solar panel.
The descriptions lean that way. One seller calls it designed for extended stays, and the layout backs that up: a rear kitchen with a pantry and oversized refrigerator, a bath and a half, a camper king bed, a fireplace and three slides across roughly 41 feet. It sleeps 4, so it suits a couple or small family rather than a crowd. The listings say nothing about tow vehicle requirements, so check the weights on the unit itself.
The four Sabre 36EST listings on US RV Connection are spread across three cities: two in Franklin, Tennessee, one in Lexington, North Carolina, and one in Middlebury, Indiana. All four are 2027 fifth wheels with photos, asking $66,149 to $67,895. If none of those locations works for you, there is nothing else for this floorplan on the site at the moment.
The closest sibling in price is the Puma Vista 403LFT, with nine listed from $57,988 to $64,995, median $64,985, in 2026 and 2027 years, so slightly under the Sabre's $66,149 to $67,895 range. The Grey Wolf 26SS is a very different buy: seven listed from $21,985 to $31,777, median $28,911, years 2025 to 2027. The site does not list comparable specs side by side, so compare the floorplans in each listing.
Answers are written from approved, priced listings on US RV Connection— asking prices, not sale prices — and from what the dealers' own descriptions say. Figures in the strip above are live; the answers refresh as inventory changes.
