Buyer questions
Eight questions buyers ask about the Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pup 12SBLP, answered from the RVs listed on US RV Connection right now.
Right now US RV Connection has 3 priced Wolf Pup 12SBLP listings, all with photos, asking between $13,670 and $15,170 with a median asking price of $13,670. Those are asking prices, not what anyone actually paid. All three are current-model-year units rather than older used trailers, so there isn't a true used price band to quote here. Anything older would have to show up as a new listing before we could price it.
Every 12SBLP listed on US RV Connection right now is a 2027 model. All 3 share that year, so there's no spread of older model years to compare against at the moment. That also means price differences between the listings come from how each one is equipped or optioned rather than from age. If earlier years appear later, they'd show up alongside these in the same search.
The 12SBLP is a single floorplan, and all 3 listings are that same travel trailer layout. Dealer descriptions call it a simple, efficient layout that keeps everything within a compact space, with a kitchen area that includes a functional cooktop, plus a tub/shower and foot flush toilet. The descriptions list it at 14 ft 6 in and sleeping 2. No bunk or alternate versions are listed here.
Since all 3 listings are 2027 travel trailers, focus on how the unit was stored and handled rather than years of wear. Check the roof and all seams and sealant, look for soft spots in the floor and walls, and test the items the descriptions name: the cooktop, the tub/shower, the foot flush toilet, the night shades, and the awning on the one that lists a 9-foot exterior awning. Also test brakes, lights, tires and the plumbing for leaks.
Going only by what the dealer descriptions mention: a foot flush toilet, a tub/shower, night shades, and a kitchen area with a functional cooktop. One of the listings also calls out a 9-foot exterior awning. The descriptions put it at 14 ft 6 in with sleeping for 2. Nothing else is specified, so if you want details on tanks, appliances or options, treat those as things to confirm on the specific unit.
That's the use the listings support. The descriptions say it sleeps 2 and measures 14 ft 6 in, with a compact layout meant to keep everything within a small space, plus a cooktop, tub/shower and foot flush toilet. For two people who want a wet bath and a place to cook, that fits. There's no stated weight or towing information in these listings, so match it to your tow vehicle using the unit's own data plate.
All 3 of the 12SBLP listings currently on US RV Connection are in Seguin, Texas, and all three include photos. No other cities have this floorplan listed at the moment. If you're shopping from outside Texas, that's the only location showing right now, so plan around it or watch for additional listings in other areas as inventory changes.
On price, the 12SBLP is the smallest-ticket of the three here, asking $13,670 to $15,170 with a $13,670 median. The Wolf Pup 16LP sits close, with 8 listings from $11,999 to $15,888 and a $13,822 median, years 2026–2027. The 17JW steps up: 9 listings, $18,991 to $26,998, median $23,988, also 2026–2027. We don't have floorplan details for the siblings in these listings, so compare layouts directly on each unit.
Answers are written from approved, priced listings on US RV Connection— asking prices, not sale prices — and from what the dealers' own descriptions say. Figures in the strip above are live; the answers refresh as inventory changes.
